Chapeau! The People’s Bicycle Club Member Benefits
As a club member you can take part in any British Cycling or Cycling Time Trials event that requires you to be a member of an affiliated cycling club. This means that you can accrue national points and you will be listed on the ranking tables.
Any Chapeau! The People's Bicycle Club members who have not been members of British Cycling before get a number of discounted membership options.
- 1. Free Bronze membership – this comes with a Provisional Race licence (you don’t get licence points) but no individual insurance packages.
- 2. £15 off Silver and Gold membership – These come with Provisional Race licence and eligibility to buy a full race licence. Silver and gold also offer a number of individual insurance benefits as well.
- 3. Half price Ride membership – This is for commuters and leisure riders so doesn’t come with a race licence, but does have individual liability insurance (non-competitive cycling only) plus free legal advice and support.
For more details, including the other benefits of joining British Cycling as an individual, compare each membership package here: https://www.britishcycling.org.uk/membership/compare
When you join Chapeau! The People's Bicycle Club you will get an email containing the discount codes that will enable you to access these offers.
Chapeau! The People’s Bicycle Club has public liability insurance as a result of our affiliation with British Cycling. This does not give an individual member cover against any accidents they are found to be at fault for. We are investigating the viability of offering this type of insurance to our members but until we have a confirmed policy we would always recommend you have your own insurance.
