RIDE LONDON CALLING

  • Chapeau! x The Sufferfest for Ride London 100

  • Chapeau! x The Sufferfest for Ride London 100

This summer sees the seventh running of the increasingly popular Prudential Ride London event. Taking place on the first weekend of August, 25,000 amateur cyclists will depart London to take on the Surrey Hills. With the hills vanquished they will welcomed home by thousands lining the streets all the way to the Mall. Ride London has quickly become a favourite date on the calendar of cyclists, following in the footsteps of the prestigious London Marathon. A unique atmosphere, closed roads and collective camaraderie have made this sportive one of the most sought after tickets on the planet.

OH SH**, I HAVEN'T DONE ANY TRAINING

Achieve Your Goals

Whether battling torrential downpours or basking in hot sunshine, a never-ending sea of cyclists tackle the 100 mile course every year. Whilst not as challenging as the Etape du Tour or as gruelling as the Haute Route, Ride London is an event that many will train hard for. From novice pedallers raising money for charity to seasoned racers aiming for record breaking times, the event sees a broad range of cyclists riding together – each in their own personal battle.

Principally the event is about fun, the rare spectacle of roads closed to cars and cyclists as far as the eye can see is reason enough to celebrate. But training for the 100 miles will help you make the most of that opportunity. Training isn’t the preserve of elite athletes, we can all get something from a structured programme. Whether you’re looking for some help to survive the course, needing a kick to keep the pace with faster friends or aiming for KOMs, it’s not too late to get some training in.
